Michael Evans

We are very sad to report that our former colleague, Michael Evans, passed away on 3 June. Michael was one of the original partners of our firm and gave us the ‘Evans’ part of our name.

Michael retired in 2008, but many long-standing team members at Deeks Evans had the pleasure of working with him for many years – including one of our current Partners, Karen Braddel.  

“Michael was instrumental in making our firm what it is today and was very well known and respected in the business community here in Tunbridge Wells,” she says. “I have many happy memories of my 19 years working for Michael – he was an encouraging and inspiring mentor.”

Michael was regarded as a good all-round accountant and boasted a wide range of loyal clients.

Managing Partner, Paul Garside, worked with Michael for 30 years and adds: “Michael spent the whole of his working life with the practice rising from Articled Clerk to Senior Partner.  He was a true professional and was instrumental in growing the practice through networking in the local area.”

Our thoughts are with Michael’s wife Tricia and his family at this time.
