John Fisher retires

John Fisher, who has been with Deeks Evans for nearly 40 years, has recently left to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

John qualified in 1974 and then spent some time working at Deloitte. He joined Deeks Evans in 1979, becoming a Partner in 1982. Over recent years, John has primarily been involved with the administration of the practice.

“We are hugely grateful to John for everything he has done for Deeks Evans over the years,” says Paul Garside, Partner at the firm. “I have thoroughly enjoyed our time working together. That said, when I first joined, we tossed a coin for the best office; I lost and ended up in a converted bathroom, while he enjoyed the relative luxury of one of the bedrooms.”

He adds: “We wish John a long and happy retirement and we know he’ll take the opportunity to spend more time gardening, as well as watching cricket and hill walking.”
