Meet... Jenni Hill

Jenni Hill is one of the secretaries at Deeks Evans and has been with the firm since 2006. Originally she came onboard to provide secretarial support to the partners - Paul Garside, Stephen Moger and Richard Young together with the accounts team – but says that today she picks up other pieces of work as well.

“As I am full-time I am often called upon to lend a hand in different areas,” says Jenni. “My role includes all sorts really from correspondence and bank letters to logging items we are sending to storage. I really enjoy the variety working here brings me, along with working closely with Maureen [Avis] and Pauline [Stirling].”

While Jenni has been at the firm for 13 years, she spent more than 15 years in her previous position, with Servomex, the gas analysis company in Crowborough.

“This is only my second job,” Jenni says. “I joined Servomex as an office junior, after going there for my school work experience.”

Jenni lived in Crowborough at the time but now lives in Maidstone.

“I enjoy working at Deeks Evans and I think that the reason people stay a long time here is simple – it's really friendly,” she says. “I think our clients also see that and benefit from it too. I also see that the team really takes the time to get to know our clients and are interested in them. There's also great care taken too and I witness that particularly with the work Karen does, supporting people who have been recently bereaved.”

She adds: “Our clients also benefit from professional advice and the fact that our team is really good at what it does.”

When Jenni isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as walking her dog and time at the coast.
